After a rainy start of the first race day I was waiting in hotel lobby for the time to go to the race venue. Roads did not look tempting for the ride at the time, but as the time progressed rain has stopped and surface was drying out. Ready to warm up I ve jumped on the bike, got my legs fired up and after few watts down the line I was 10 seconds to go on the start line. Time trial track was dry, and I could feel I can push just the extra bit harder than usuall. After some 25km I took my first gold of the road season. In a good mood, not having to clean my bike, Kyleigh and I returned to hotel and relaxed before discussing tactics for the next day. It was simple. Shake the tree and go for solo. And so it was. After first part of the race in the bunch and shortly after in get away group of two I have decided to set next gear and try to go solo. Lucky for me, there was no puncture or crash on super wet surface. I came sprinting through the finish line and started to enjoy double gold position in the first round of this years UCI Paracycling Road World Cup. I would like to thank organisors for their hard work and making this event nice experience for all of us. There was a lot of atention to the rider safety, course was well prepared and I hope that this trend will only continue for years to come. Thank you.
